Analysis of adaptive clutter rejection algorithms

Abstract:
The problem of analyzing the efficiency of adaptive rejection clutter algorithms by the wobbulation of the repetition period is considered. It is proposed based on the asymptotic properties of maximum likelihood estimations method of adaptive rejector filters algorithms analysis depending on volume of the training sample. An averaging criterion of adaptive rejection algorithms efficiency based on statistical describing the properties of the unknown parameters estimations of clutter is carried out. The resulting analytical expression averaged criterion communicates the suppression of clutter with the characteristics of the assessment of clutter parameters estimations (Doppler phase and interperiod correlation coefficients) and makes it relatively easy to choose the volume of the training sample for-depending on the value of admissible losses in the efficiency of the filter. Results of the adaptation curves calculation for the filters of the first, second and third orders are given.
