Abstract:
The results of computer simulation and experimental study of the work of the quadrupole mass filter on the hyperboloid thin-walled electrode system consisting of several identical sections are described. It is shown that such an electrode system having a small size and weight, and provides high performance analytical performance quadrupole mass filter. The sectional electrode system allows you to create quadrupole structure arbitrarily long without reducing the quality of the field generated by them. Developed mass analyzers have good form of mass peak, resistant to external mechanical influences and allow you to work at high temperatures.
