Estimating the efficiency at parametric generation in crossed fields

Abstract:
In the works [1, 2], authors show the possibility of parametric generation of microwave oscillations in crossed fields without feeding the static electric field into the interaction space. However, in these papers, effectiveness of this process has not being discussed. In the present paper, the efficiency at parametric generation in crossed fields is estimated. Estimating the efficiency is based on the relation of the induced high-frequency power and the input power at the expense of variable magnetic induction. Efficiency values are given for different ratios of frequencies of operating oscillating electric and magnetic fields.
