Methods of locking in the deliverable spatially-distributed direction finding system

Abstract:
Possible variants of antenna components locking in the deliverable spatially-distributed direction finding system have been discussed. They consist in implementation of the method of the network components active location that enables determination of relative mutual distance with the subsequent phase equalization of the locking signal from a reference generator as well as the use of PPS-pulses gener-ated by GPS receivers in the interests of adjustment of local time scales of locking signal generation. A technical approach based on simulation modeling methods has been worked out to obtain the assessed values of quantitative indices for the remote direction finding system. With the suggested approach, the effect of the statistical values of probing signal delay time estimation errors and phase errors of self-excited generators locking on the accuracy of relative angular orientation of the line of position of RF radiation source which is taken a fix has been analyzed.
