The results of numerical simulation of the four­beam mini­klystrode of decimetre-wavelengths range

Abstract:
Calculation results of output parameters of mini-klystrode designed for use as an amplifier at 450±8 MHz are presented. To expand the bandwidth and increase a gain, a filter system is used in the output device. It consists of active double­gap resonator and of an additional passive cavity. It has been found the optimum value of the acceleration voltage necessary to obtain the preset values of output parameters (gain more than 20 dB, the efficiency more than 60%, and output power of 300 W) is U0 = 2,65 kV. The angle of the cut­off of the cathode current must be equal to 100 degrees.
