Abstract:
The development results of microstrip antennas for X band antenna array with single and dual polarization and extended bandwidth are considered. The experimental characteristics of microstrip antenna arrays built on the basis of the developed microstrip antennas are presented: radiation patterns and voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of cophased 8-elements linear microstrip antenna array and isolation between polarisations of dual-polarized microstrip antennas. The bandwidth of antennas was broaden up to 12.9% (VSWR < 1.6) by placed parasitic element above the driven element. Dual-polarized microstrip antennas has isolation between polarizations more than 18 dB in required bandwidth and better than 20 dB for 280 MHz bandwidth.
