Abstract:
In antenna array with mechanical scanning beam shape always remains unchanged. In contrast, accompanied by electronic scanning beam shape distortion. Therefore, antenna arrays, using both methods pattern control, you need to provide a consistent beam shape. To solve this problem are encouraged to use the apparatus synthesis of antenna array in the coordinate system associated form of the desired pattern.
A mathematical model of the antenna array, in which the rotation of the aperture in the coordinate system associated with the position of the maximum specified pattern. Introduced two coordinate systems in mechanical and electrical maximum scanning pattern, interconnected operations rotate the coordinate system defined by the matrix of transition. Observation point defined in a spherical coordinate system.
Problem of synthesis is carried out using the method of amplitude-phase synthesis, based on the principle of partial control rays. Given vector with the desired pattern of the polarization characteristics described by a real function. Components of the vector pattern presented in the basis of observation and can be found using a matrix relationship between spherical and Cartesian coordinate systems.
General method for solving the problem of synthesis of antenna array for a given directivity pattern based on the shape and position of the management pattern due to reorientation of the maxima of partial beams free of restrictions on the configuration of the antenna aperture geometry and partial elements. Its computational efficiency is determined by the fact that redistribution is only partial beams in the main beam, i.e. by reducing a spatial area of the observation points under consideration and reorient the partial beams generated by a small number of antenna elements in the main beam of a predetermined pattern. At each step of the iterative process are determined by the complex amplitudes of only two partial beams, which can significantly reduce the dimension of the problem of synthesis.
The proposed approach based on the solution of the problem of synthesis of antenna array in the coordinate system associated with the orientation of the maximum predetermined pattern, allows you to save form requirements specified pattern identical throughout the working sector scan.
