The analysis of observations path management for direction finder in the still radiator location problem

Abstract:
The analysis of optimum observations path management for the direction finder is organized on base of the numerical studies. Its spatial motion general regularities, providing maximum of determination accuracy for fixup value of the stillradiation source are revealed:  initial sections of optimal spatial paths are oriented on the maximal distance reduction between a direction finder and the radiation source, leading to received power increasing on the one hand and improving of conditions for a location on the other while the bases of goniometric measurements, providing the best determination accuracy of coordinates estimations of a radiation source, are formed on their final sections;  optimal paths of a direction finder possess duality property and each of them some symmetric analog can be brought into line;  direction finder traverse speed influence on its optimal spatial path structure in case of length fixing is weak. The recommendations for direction finder moving management are worked out.
