Massively parallel computing in a heterogeneous system for modeling low-density codecs

Abstract:
This article discusses the issues of resource-intensive simulations for Low-density codecs produced at the preliminary stages of the development of information and telecommunication devices to optimize the information in their part of the system error-correcting coding, which makes use of codes with low-density parity-check. Due to the admissibility of massively parallel computing algorithms in iterative decoding LDPC codes as a means of reducing the time spent on modeling proposed use of idle resources of heterogeneous computer systems : in addition to CPU resource (central processing unit, CPU), GPU computing resources ( graphics processing unit, GPU). The results of application of the above approach, demonstrating a significant increase in computing speed using GPU resources with respect to classical simulation on the CPU. Using our approach in the implementation of simulation environments for Low-density codecs as a means of optimizing the system error-correcting coding is seen as a real alternative to the classical universal simulation package.
