The article deals with the key issues related with development of high-technology medical equipment in the defense industry enterprises. It was shown, that these plants posses enough competence to develop a serial production of medical equipment, which is highly competitive with foreign analogs as to its characteristics. The efforts of the defense industry enterprises in terms of this tendency are coordinated by the Medical innovation technology center founded on the basis of relevant structure of the «Concern «Vega». The specific samples of medical equipment, developed by the Defense Industry enterprises including the «Concern «Vega», were given as examples. This medical equipment can be put into serial production to meet the demands of medical institutions both in our country and overseas.
