Abstract:
Scientific-technical problems of designing surveillance radar systems based on active SAR for a remote controlled aerial vehicle are studied. Feasibility of obtaining all-around surveillance without shading areas using specially designed airframe is showed. The resulting circular active SAR provides all-around surveillance with desired spatial resolution and survey rate. Energy estimations confirming possibility of implementing modes of detection aerial and maritime targets, measuring their flight height and surface mapping with terrain depiction.
