Abstract:
The article discusses aspects of the application of non-binary block and convolutional error correcting codes. Relevance of articles due to the need to solve the problem of providing high reliability of data transport systems by transmitting digital information, in particular, methods of error-correcting coding. Discusses the basic parameters of error-correcting codes. The ratio for the dependence of bandwidth q-ary symmetric channel of symbol error probability. Considered application of non-binary codes in complex concatenated structures and LDPC codes (low-density parity-check), which are characterized by high efficiency, due to the possibility of using iterative decoding algorithms. The conclusion about the possibility of improving noise immunity, by using more bandwidth for non-binary codes, in terms of growth of computing resources hardware decoders.
