Abstract:
This work proposes an analysis of efficiency improvement for RF spectrum using, based on the efficiency criterion. It was shown, that this criterion can be written as the product of spectral efficiency per unit area (cell) at the time channel utilization index. In details were considered opportunities for spectral efficiency improvement at the channel level by means of signal constructions design based on orthogonal signal with high multistate modulation (in particular - N-OFDM/M-QAM). A comparison with the upper bound, given by Shennon-s equation, is also proposed. For the coverage area estimation of base station has been provided the usage of Okumura-Hata statistical models (COST231 et cetera). In the work were also completed the coverage area analysis for distance between base station and abonent station antenna and the same analysis for utilized frequency range.
