Experimental data and theoretical results in the evaluation of parasitic phase shift of X-band local oscillator

Abstract:
This paper contains: results of phase noise calculation of X-band local oscillator (LO) signal in the form of parasitic phase shift; results of phase noise calculation of X-band LO signal in the form of parasitic phase shift using Leeson's noise model; measurements of power spectral density of amplitude and phase noise of X-band LO signal with 250 MHz and 190 MHz crystal oscillators (XO) as a reference; results of parasitic phase shift calculation of X-band LO signal with 250 MHz and 190 MHz XO as a reference, obtained from data of measurements of the power spectral density of their phase noise. A comparative analysis of the obtained results is presented. As an X-band LO was used 12 GHz LO with 250 MHz reference XO and 12 GHz LO with 190 MHz reference XO designed in JSC «Radiofizika»
