Abstract:
DIDO (Distributed Inputs and Distributed Outputs) system which is a generalized MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) scheme with M transmitters and M receivers is considered. Numeric computations are conducted for antenna patterns of DIDO base station. The author shows that BS antenna patterns are arranged separately with near-optimal gain for each user equipment while in all other directions radiation patterns are formed with deep nulls. This technique allows users to occupy the same frequency band in one time slot without co-interference.
