Closed-form source location estimation in split range-difference system
Authors:
V.A. Shcherbachev
Abstract:
Conventional closed-form localization technique is inapplicable to a special case of range-difference system called split ones. Closed-form solutions were proposed for source localization in split range-difference system using both minimum set of measurements and the minimum set including a priori position surface.
Though algebraic degree for the split systems is greater than one for conventional hyperbolic location system, the computationally efficient closed-form solutions were developed by means the selected frame.
Close agreement results of Monte-Carlo simulation with theoretical covariance matrix justify utility of the closed-form solutions.
