Abstract:
This article provides an overview of the core technologies of high performance methods of error-correcting coding, delay-sensitive. The concept of "time-sensitive signal technology" was introduced in the sense of critical end-user data service time delay information being passed.
Considered standards governing the implementation of appropriate technologies. Review takes place in the context of methods and algorithms of encoding information, recommended standards, given the high level requirements of its decoding receiving party by its sensitivity to the signal delay.
Cover standards (technology): IEEE 802.3an (10GBASE-T), IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi), IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX), 3GPP LTE, IEEE 802.15 (UWB), TETRA-TEDS. The main characteristics of these recommended standards of coding, is considered their possible practical implementation and progress at its core characteristics of decoding at a publicly available sources.
The most actively used methods of error-correcting coding, according to the review of standards, due to their high efficiency in terms of energy costs, are the methods based on the Viterbi algorithm, turbo codes and low-density codes, despite the hardness of decoding requirements imposed by the sensitivity of the technology to the delay.
