Abstract:
Optical combination devices based on telescoping nanotubes and nanofibers are considered. Optical analog nano-multiplexer, optical analog nano-demultiplexer, and optical logic nanodevice are constructed with using the single functional element which operating principle is based on the movement of the internal nanotube under influence of a controlling electrical signal and change of optical links between nanofibers. The optical logic nanodevice realizes a full set of Boolean functions of two variables, which, in their turn, are defined by the code incoming to controlling inputs. The optical combination devices proposed are perspective for design and development of optical nanocomputers and nano-transceivers due to their simplicity and high performance.
