Multipath routing in wireless networks based on potential field lines under interference effect

Abstract:
Routing based on potential field lines is one of routing methods for wireless networks, especially for massively dense networks. Mathematical model of this method was first time described in [1, 2]. In this article authors presents modification of this model for sensor network with nodes with adaptive antenna patterns in the presence of interference source. Two network adaptation methods to the interference source presence are considered: adaptive information rate change depending on signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and the application of adaptive antenna patterns that makes spatial interference rejection with the use of the described information rate adaptation method. Proved that the boundary-value problem that is mathematical description of the model is well-posed problem. Simulation results for wireless network with different methods of adaptation to the presence of interference source is presented. The introduced mathematic model modifications allows to simulate wireless massively dense networks with the use of different adaptation methods to the interference source presence.
