Sensing time optimization in cognitive radio: one primary and one secondary user

Abstract:
A sensing time optimization was performed by means of cyclic channel sensing. The channel efficiency of the secondary user is chosen as a metric. In detail are considered following cases: deterministic channel without fading, channel with Rayleigh and Rician fading, Gaussian approximation. We have implemented computational works and identified the most essential factors, that impact on channel efficiency.
