Abstract:
The new kind of multifrequency spatial-multichannel radar location system such as MIMO Radar with narrow beam diagrams of spatially allocated transmitting and receiving elements is considered. As the characteristic with which help it is possible to estimate resolution, selectivity, measuring unambiguity and potential of given kind of MIMO Radar, analytical expression for the multivariate generalized ambiguity function is received at space-time correlation processing of coherent signals on outputs of receiving elements. Results of quantitative calculation of bidimentional sections of generalized ambiguity function on «azimuth - elevation» and "azimuth - range" are given at 5 transmitting and 5 receiving positions with their arrangement on a circle. Cases of monostatic and bistatic locations in each pair "transmitter - receiver" are considered. Advantage of bistatic location of "transmitter - receiver" pairs on a level of collateral maxima of generalized ambiguity function module caused by the system diffraction lobes remains, at a small number of transmitting and receiving positions is shown at presence of their spatial spacing on a circle about 18 degrees for each of various pairs "transmitter - receiver". At the same time in both variants of an transmitter-receiver pair arrangement the level of collateral lobes concerning the main lobe conterminous to angular position of the target, appeared rather high - from 0.6 at a bistatic arrangement of the transmitter - receiver pairs up to 0.85 at a monostatic arrangement of pairs. For suppression of collateral maxima application of nonlinear statistics as 8-th degree of the generalized correlation integral is offered. With this proposal at variant of bistatic arrangements of pairs "transmitter - receiver" completely practically it was possible to suppress collateral petals. Also it is specified on expediency of search and research of essentially probable linear methods of additional processing with suppression of collateral difraction maxima in multifrequency spatial-multichannel radar location systems such as MIMO Radars. As a whole, the received preliminary results testify to a urgency of the further studying and development of construction principles and methods of space-time processing of signals in spatial-multichannel radar location systems with narrow beam antenna diagrams of transmitting and receiving positions.
