Abstract:
Creation of autonomous robots is one of the most promising challenges of modern science. This article discusses the highlights of a prototype software system for autonomous mobile robot that can search for certain classes of objects and determine the distance to these objects. This article describes the algorithms used in the software package. Briefly describe the principle of segmentation algorithms, stereovision, and pattern recognition algorithm. The article presents the results of a series of experiments on the recognition of three-dimensional objects using stereoscopic vision.
