Combined correction schemas design based on trajectory filters in electronic and electronic-mechanical antenna beam steering conrol system for satellite transponder autotracking from board of rail-based vehicle

Abstract:
The subject is antenna beam steering control system based on electronic or electronic-mechanical scanning that provides for geostationary satellite transponder autotracking from board of rail-based vehicle. Trajectory filtering methods efficiency for satellite autotracking from board of a vehicle, under conditions of unknown motion equations, maneuvering of autotracked subject and it-s angular oscillations due to route irregularities, is investigated. «Sliding» smoothing ( -filters) are considered. The whole set of satellite trajectories in the vehicle attached coordinate system is formed by means of specialized software. S-curve in horizontal plane is considered as a train maneuvering model. Autotracking is being performed in the vehicle attached coordinate system using satellite angular coordinate measurements by antenna sensor and encoders. In case of electronic scanning, trajectory filter at the autotracking system input is considered as a correction link. In case of electronic-mechanical scanning, a number of structural correction schemas based on combined control and PID-regulation, including trajectory filters at the autotracking system input and in correction links, are considered. Parametrical optimization for considered correction schemas according to the criterion of minimum energy losses is carried out/. The results indicate trajectory filters efficiency (improving accuracy up to 20%...35%) for satellite autotracking from board of the vehicle.
