It is proposed to consider the current stage of evolution of the world of things (techno sphere) as the beginning of the emergence of the information society of things, also referred to as the “Internet of Things” (Iot). The exponential development of artificial intelligence (AI) and IoT technologies is leading to a “singularity point” in human evolution, after which “everything will be different than it is today.” The prospects and threats of the development of IoT and AI are considered.
