Abstract:

Problem statement. The widespread use of multichannel automated process control systems (automated process control systems) determines the problems of assessing the reliability of their functioning. Taking into account the fact that for the most part such systems can be attributed to nonlinear systems with nonlinear processes occurring in them, close attention should be paid to the problems of choosing a rational structure and determining the limits of redundancy of hardware.

Goal. Consider options for structural redundancy of hardware of automated process control systems, formulate recommendations for choosing a rational structure of automated process control systems

Results. A comparative analysis of the reliability of single-channel, two-channel and three-channel implementation of the automated control system is given, changes in the gain in the reliability of a multi-channel system depending on the probability of failure-free operation of one channel were considered, the rational structure of a multi-channel automated control system was determined by the criterion of reliability of functioning over a long time interval.

Practical significance. The proposed recommendations can be used at all stages of design, development and operation support of complex automated control systems when choosing the structure and composition of the hardware, taking into account the requirements for the reliability of their functioning.
