Abstract:

Problem formulating. Currently, there is a constantly growing market demand for the capacity of transmitted information with minimal delays and a high degree of reliability between large economic centers - megacities located on different continents. The use of multi-span fiber optic communication lines (FOCL) of the trunk level without intermediate regeneration points is optimal for solving the problem of connecting global and regional data centers.

Goal. The aim of this work is to develop an ultra-long trunk 80-channel FOCL stand with a transmission capacity of 8Tbit / s, a length of 6048 km and a span of at least 100 km using standard G.652D fiber and to study the accumulation of non-linear effects on the SNR value.

Result. A multi-span coherent FOCL with a capacity of 8 Tbps with a length of over 6000 km was developed. The interactions of the information optical signal and the radiation of stimulated Raman scattering and EDFA fiber amplifiers are investigated. Dependences of the current and critical OSNR on the length of the fiber optic link were measured. An algorithm has been developed for equalizing the 80-channel spectrum.

Practical meaning. The data obtained during the work allow us to design a multi-span FOCL without the use of O-E-O regeneration points.
