Abstract:
Plasmonic rectification of terahertz radiation in spatially homogeneous and inhomogeneous grating-gated graphene structure was in-vestigated. New plasmonic electron-hole ratchet effect of terahertz rectification in spatially inhomogeneous graphene with both types of carriers was predicted. The rectified current due to the plasmon electron-hole ratchet effect is more than an order of magnitude greater than that is due the plasmon drag current effect.
