Abstract:
We research the feasibility and efficiency of nonlinear suppression of radar sea clutter in coherent reception bandpass tract, while the amplitude characteristic of the nonlinear converter is a series expansion in a system of linearly independent functions, the coefficients of which are chosen by the criterion of maximum noise reduction coefficient. A model of the most appropriate non-Gaussian noise from the sea surface, which is based on the K-distribution of probability density and allows the thermal noise of the receiver. A comparison of effi-cacy of optimal nonlinear transformation and the non-linear transformationon in the form of a polynomial. It is shown that the non-linear converter using an approximation of the optimal amplitude characteristic of high order polynomials, almost equal to the efficiency of non-linear optimal converter for various marine reflections of the model parameters.
