Abstract:
A new method of suppressing the parasitic oscillations in a lateral electric field excited piezoelectric resonators (LEF resonators). The method is realized in the composite resonator having a structure «glass plate with rectangular electrodes - air gap - plate of 128 Y-X lithium niobate». It is shown that there is an optimum width of the air gap, which provides good quality of series and parallel resonances in the frequency range of 3-4 MHz with a record value of the Q-factor of ~15,000 in both cases.
