Abstract:
Thermoelastic martensitic transformation in Ni2.16Mn0.84Ga alloy under the influence of a magnetic field and temperature is investi-gated by means of original installation (optical microscope). Different deposits to change of temperature of a sample under the influence of a magnetic field are shown: to Hcr - direct magnetocaloric effect (MCE) due to streamlining of magnetic spin, after Hcr - giant MCE (transition to a low-symmetric structural phase and streamlining of magnetic spin). The qualitative explanation of observed effects is offered.
