Abstract:
The technique of differential calorimetry of materials in high magnetic fields was developed. The differential calorimeter on the base on Peltier elements was made for working in the fields of Bitter magnet (up to 14 T). Calorimetric studies were performed on Fe48Rh52 alloy with reverse magnetocaloric effect near the meta-magneto-structural phase transition. It is shown that the latent heat is reduced both in the forward and the reverse transformation with increasing of magnetic field.
