Abstract:
To increase the reliability of the radio monitoring data obtained by space- and airborne systems it is essential to perform their periodical reference testing. To achieve this goal, a special control and correction system should be designed. Each control-correction station should transmit special reference signals to the correction objects and try to follow their trajectory. By comparing the testing results to the reference signals corrections can be obtained. The stations should be capable of generating complex waveform signals in a wide frequency band (0.1−18 GHz) and emitting them in a designated direction at high power. Additionally the stations should interact with the correction control structure that imposes stringent requirements on the positioning and syncronization accuracy. The practical implementation is possible by using the hardware platforms of several well-known companies that are specialized in radio electronics, measurement and control equipment.
