Abstract:
The modified sensing element based on Hi-Bi spun fiber for fiber-optical current sensor is proposed. It allows to minimize interferometer contrast decrease if radiation polarization state ellipticity in spun fiber is low. It is shown, that magneto-optical sensitivity decreases with spectral average polarization state ellipticity. Experimental results that confirm the theoretical analysis are presented.
