Abstract:
Due to spin-orbit coupling and special confining potential, spin-orbit gap may be observed in energy spectrum for 1D quantum wire, which leads to dips in conductance and to occurrence of spin current. We get analytical solution for conductance, which is confirmed by numerical calculation.
