Spin structure of interacting electron state in one-dimensional quantum dots

Abstract:
The spin structure of interacting electrons in a 1D quantum dot is investigated. The pair correlation function and spatial distribution of charge and spin density are calculated using exact diagonalization. The condition for the spontaneous spin symmetry breaking is found. It is shown that Wigner molecules are formed only due to long-ranged interaction of electrons.
