Abstract:
An interferometric fiber-optic small-displacement sensor using a low-coherence light source is analyzed and demonstrated. The sensor arrangement employs Fabry-Perot interferometer and low-resolution fiber spectrometer connected to computer. Method for interferometer base calculating is demonstrated and possibility of temperature and mechanical tension measurings is shown.
