Abstract:
The fiber ports mechanical deformations influence on a magneto-optical sensitivity and an output signal contrast of Faraday rotator were experimentally studied. The rotator was made of microstructured spun fiber with suspended core. Considerable change of contrast and insignificant change of sensitivity (angle of rotation of polarization plane) was discovered for these deformations.
