Josephson-tipe generation in one-dimensional conductor

Abstract:
We found the new type of electronic transport through an impurity in one-dimensional conductors. At bias voltage exceeding a certain threshold value depinning of the Friedel oscillation from the impurity takes place and the Friedel oscillation starts to slide as a whole leading to generation of high-frequency (GHz...THz) current. Oscillations - shape and I(V) curves are the same as in Josephson effect.
