Abstract:
In this work the influence of surface morphology on coercivity of Fe/SiO2/Si(100) films was studied. By the scanning-tunneling microscopy and vibrating-sample magnetometry technique was demonstrated strong dependence of coercivity of Fe/SiO2/Si(100) films on roughness parameters, such as rms roughness (σrms) and lateral correlation length (Lc). For films with σrms/d >0.12 и Lc>45 Ǻ the coercivity i s 3-10 times higher in comparison with films for which σrms/d < 0.12 и Lc<40 Ǻ
