In this work we present the new approach for development of the modern communication and control aids for prospective unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems. The electrically large rarefied active antenna array focused for Fresnel zone principle formed the foundation the problem at issue. Adoption of electrically controlled focused array principle combined with wide-band or ultra wide-band technique offers ample scope for improvement a number of radio links properties substantial for UAV application. The most important of them are improvement of energy efficiency as well as quality of radio contacts hiddencity. Additionally the high accuracy UAV position measurements are attained.
