Abstract:

Formulation of the problem. Currently on the agenda is the issue of introducing information technologies in all spheres of state activity, including the field of inland water transport, which includes river navigation. Relevant and of great practical importance is the task of developing methods and methods for increasing the efficiency of organizing information support for dispatch services, through the use of mechanisms for digital transformation of the inland water transport industry and the use of digital information systems. When developing such systems and complexes, many factors should be taken into account, starting with the possibility of data transmission in conditions of unstable functioning of channels and communication means, ending with the ergonomics of client applications for end users.

Target. Development of main directions and recommendations for the development of a digital system of river information services for inland waterways of the Russian Federation based on world experience in operating similar systems.

Results. The approach of European countries to the development of information systems for river information services is considered. Basic recommendations are proposed for the implementation of information systems in the field of river transport for inland waterways of the Russian Federation.

Practical significance. Development of the main directions for the development of a digital system of river information services, as the main working tool for dispatch staff in the administrations of basin departments in the European part of the Unified Deepwater System of Russia.
