Abstract:
This paper discusses the redundancy in homogeneous structures. On the one hand, homogeneous structures are considered from the point of view of theory of mass service. It allows to calculate the volume of cells required for the formation of devices with desired properties. During this first stage of designing the service channel is created so terms the flow of applications and flow release are used. This process is Markovian, and Erlang-s formula is used for calculation. On the other hand, homogeneous structures are considered from the point of view of reliability theory. It allows to determine the amount of the reserve cell, so that over time given the number of defective cells does not exceed the number of spare cells, taking into account that cells belonging to different shaped structures have different failure rate. The technique is based on Poisson flows and calculations are multi-step.
