Abstract:
Events occurring in the field of high-frequency oscillations, acquire key importance for implemention specific tasks. We con-ducted a study of the spatial synchronization of the beta rhythm based on an information about functional specialization of EEG rhythmic components when students aged 20-22 years performed different types of verbal tasks. Electroencephalogram (EEG) was recorded from the monopolar symmetrical hemispheres leads to a state of quiet wakefulness (with eyes open) and when performing cognitive tasks: reading the speech stimuli and the search for a particular letter in the same incentives. Text incentives varied semantic and syntactic features, for instance, a literary text, a psevdotekst, a sequence of words and a nonwords sequence. We analyzed the maximum value of evaluation function of coherence (COG) rhythmic components of EEG in the beta band (14-35 Hz). Assessment of significance of differences of indicators COG depending on type of an job was performed using multivariate analysis of variance for repeated measures study (RM MANOVA). The results showed the job of reading the text stimulus was characterized by higher values of the coherent interaction in a range of beta-rhythm EEG students in comprasion with the COG during mission to find letters. Significantly high levels of the COG in reading compared with search letter incentives had predominantly left-hemispheric focus of an activity between the brain structures involved in the verbal activity. A statistically significant excess of the COG values was observed in the temporal and occipital areas of the right and left hemisphere in the test frequency range. It is associated with implementation of letter-sound analysis and synthesis, also formation of semantic guesswork which revealed while reading the text of incentives compared with the letter search task [1,2]. Significant differences were found in rates COG anterior associative structures of the brain depending on the job type. Large values of COG parameters were observed while texts reading, regardless of their performance compared with the search in the same incentives. Thus, the results of this study indicate that increase in functional connections of the cortical areas in the beta range EEG is due to the type of performed verbal tasks. It can be argued that a process of reading has a necessary component of establishment of semantic and syntactic relations in the text incentives and causes increase functional interaction of the speech areas of the left hemisphere with obligatory participation of the frontal areas.
