Abstract:
In the blood serum of male rats a sharp decrease of cholesterol in high density lipoprotein and triglycerides was found continued for at least six weeks after a single psychogenic trauma caused by a threat to life. One year after such stress, disorders of lipid metabolism are stored and are expressed in elevated levels of cholesterol in the serum, cholesterol reduction in the liver and increase of LDL and intermediate density. The study was performed on albino adult male rats. Psychogenic trauma was simulated creating stressful situation with tiger python, according to our methodology. After a single stress lipid metabolism was examined immediately after the stress, and then in a week, ten days, six weeks and one year after the psychological trauma. In blood serum cholesterol (CH), triglycerides (TG) and CH - HDL were determined with \"Chem Well\" analyzer (\"Awareness Technology\"). In the liver of rats CH and TG were determined after pre-extraction with AA-2 (\"Technicon\") analyzer. For checking experiment results, both in assessing the behavior and in biochemical studies the reference group of intact rats was used Statistical analysis was performed using the program \'\'Statgraphics\'\'. All procedures and experiments on animals were carried out in accordance with the \"Rules of good laboratory practice in the Russian Federation?. (Directive of the European Parliament and the European Union №2010 / 63 / UOM). Rules were approved by the order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation №267 on 19.06.2003, and were approved by the Ethics Committee of the Biomedical Institute of Experimental Medicine. A single psychic shock causes psychogenic dramatic change in serum lipid profile after 30 minutes after stress in male rats. So the level of HDL-CH was reduced by 70%, TG - by 63%. Serum of blood taken after 10 days of stress showed a significant decrease in the level of HDL-CH by 20% and increased atherogenic factor. In the liver there were slight variations in the level of lipids. Six weeks after stress changes in triglycerides in the blood serum and liver were detected again, as well as lower HDL-CH levels by 25%. After a year of observation of the animals, that had suffured single psychogenic stress lipid metabolism was revealed. Despite the fact that HDL-CH levels remained slightly decreased, there was an increased level of total cholesterol in the serum and decreased cholesterol in the liver by 20%. Becides, there has been a significant redistribution of atherogenic lipoproteins in the side. A year after the psychogenic stress caused by a life-threatening situation, atherogenic changes in the lipid metabolism of male rats still remained.
