Abstract:
Recently, more frequent reports of attempts to technical objects control directly using human mental activity becomes by the very fashionable object of information sources. Numerous publications and reports boldly declare that this problem is almost the solved, or at least very close to resolution. However, a comprehensive analysis of historical perspective and status does not allow agree with this definitely [1]. Given huge number of past neurointerface problem studies, it is difficult to assume not only that they did not give any results, but even that the problem was not solved neurointerface using them repeatedly and fully historically. As an illustration we shows one of the many historical the problem neurointerface solving at the level of children\'s designer, unknown to this day. It was exposed from 1973 to 1977 on exhibition in the Pioneers Palaces repeatedly, and everyone can its make at home in the kitchen. It is concluded that the main mistake of modern attempts to create neurointerface from scratch without studying history is striving to improve accuracy of EEG-analysis. It has a focus on attempts of signal filtering that to get one correspondence mental image or its component to current parameters of the EEG in real time. At the same time one of the simplest solutions is quite the opposite - the maximum desensitization measurements up to produce a binary control signal. Among other things, this solution can significantly simplify of the technique EEG signal measurement, since simplest Holter measurement circuit is sufficient. Despite the apparent simplicity of this «childish» neurointerface, you can use the binary control signal as a numeric code, for example, the sequential type. It can be transmitted on a single channel with subsequent transformation into a conventional parallel binary code. With this simple \"childish\" neurointerface converted into a full «adult» [2] with the number of control commands corresponding to the number of bits of the converted parallel code. The number of bits is limited by the speed of response of the operator only. This work was financially supported by RHSF in grant № 15-03-00519а «Post-non-classic paradigm of artificial intellect».
