Abstract:
In accordance with materialistic approach to investigation of psychic the object of psychology is individual subjective experience structure. Individual experience fixates a history of behavioral interactions with environment and defines behavioral dynamics. It involves repertoire of components representing successful interactions fixed in memory and relations between them, which tire components into whole structure. Actual task is to find objective methods of analysis and reconstruction of this structure. Discovering of neuronal behavior specialization phenomena and formulated on its basis principle of neuronal system specificity allows to identify components of individual subjective experience and to reveal relations between them. Regular specialized neuron activity in performance of another act of behavioral repertoire shows concrete actualization level of individual experience component related to this neuron specialization. In line with this approach we have carried a series of experiments with recordings of retrosplenial neurons activity in rats by chronically implanted tetrodes. Prior to recordings rats were trained to perform instrumental food-acquisition behavior of pressing two pedals for getting food pellets from two feeders disposed along side walls of one section of experimental cage. In another section of the cage rats performed acts of defensive, drinking, comfort, searching and inter-individual behaviors. Recorded activity was processed to isolate trains of spiking of single cells which were related to behavioral acts defined on the basis of analysis of behavioral marks and video record. We statistically compared activity in pairs of behavioral acts for specialized neurons defined on the basis of such analysis. The number of revealed relations between individual experience components was calculated on the basis of obtained statistically significant differences in act pairs. This analysis have showed that inside concrete domain of individual experience the portion of related components is significantly larger than between components of different domains. As well we revealed an asymmetry in relations between components of food-acquisition and defensive experience domains.
