Abstract:
In the article with an unconventional point of view causes the problem unresolved of the primacy of matter or consciousness and its relation to the modern problem unresolved of brain between consciousness explanatory gap (BCEG) is treated. The relevant mutual dynamics of global development in terms of growth rate of scientific and technological progress and the vibrations from the dominant paradigm of materialistic dominance to the idealistic dominance and back are analyzed. As well as the fundamental question of philosophy was decided repeatedly in retrospect, and either the «unsolved» or even «unsolvable» BCEG problem is produced by its inattention to the decision 30 years ago by the Soviet physiological school or intentional direction to a standstill of the world physiological science. The essence of this decision is discussed, and its importance and influence on the world physiological neuroscience is analyzed. Based on previously made discovery explanting of paradoxical functional neuroanatomical structure of the retina (the explanation of its structure «flip» relatively to the afferent luminous flux) we consider the general possible mechanism of encoding information in the nervous system. Found morphological correlates of a fundamentally different mechanism of image processing, is fundamentally different from digitization principles were adopted in a technique. Based on a number of proposed methodological techniques there is convincingly assumed the generality of these mechanisms for processing signals of the brain at all. Feature of mechanism were opened by us is super-multiple duplication is irrationality with engineering standpoint; however that it may determine the diversity of the world and internal representations and, apparently, may be the material basis of consciousness and psyche. Thus, it can generate quantitative complexity of qualitatively new properties on their own intrinsic existence of ideal images. Concluded that we present at the next not paying attention to another decision of BCEG problem. The problem of the explanatory gap between the physics and the mentality (EGPM) or in the terminology of D. Chalmers «hard problem of consciousness» is difficult. Difficult but not in the sense of the impossibility of its solution or even longer not in the sense of qualitative but on the contrary quantitative sense because of its computational complexity. Number of shades, states; directs, indirect and branched associations and even taking into account the time dimension, which determines the life span of an individual in real time, even without genetics immediately generates numbers tending to infinity. Especially, this absurdity of this can be seen when discretization trying, i.e. digitizing. About «every aspect of biological object duplicating, including consciousness», using a computer consisting of standardized cells, may only speak from the level of «cells» of the body, which are standardized also. This is the equivalence principle was proposed by us. In the McCulloch-s time of 70 years ago, in the brain as this cell type a neuron was postulated was completely groundless that does not reflect reality, as the neuron itself is a hyper-complex system, the complexity of which, as we have shown, may exceed the complexity of neural networks. Therefore, for the «unified» brain cell must take finer education as having minimal individualized properties, such as an atom. Even if assuming «atomicity» computer for full playback properties of a brain (a consciousness as the top level inseparable from all the lower levels, so the information reproduced only with all lower levels), then quantity of computer cells must equal the quantity of brain atoms. Although more strictly, unification can be achieved even not at the atomic level and even not the level of elementary particles, of which there are 807,430, and the list is open, but only to «the Higgs boson» level. That is, the quantity of cells required computer tends to infinity. The study was supported by RFH research project № 04-03-00066a and RFBR research project № 04-06-80460, 07-06-11003, 08-06-11002.
