Abstract:
The paper presents an expansion of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) based on service-oriented architecture (SOA). The article offers extension of the system with additional functions, such as remote expert evaluation of data. SOA technology facilitates extension of the system due to opportunity of constructing new services on the base of existing ones. The extended system can be used in distributed medical practice and is aimed to setting high-quality diagnosis in short term.
