Abstract:
Multidimensional scaling by using the procedure of individual differences INDSCAL finds that in the studied group of names of basic emotions and their synonymous terms perceived differences of names and differences expressive facial profiles of these names contain a well-adjusted information on the total group 6-dimensional semantic space. The variability of individual semantic structures in the studied sample of respondents is explained by varying weights coordinate values common semantic space. The general semantic space of names as a whole is identical repeats perceptual space of emotional facial expressions obtained earlier identical socio-demographic characteristics sample. Semantic emotional space, similar to the emotional perceptual space is a 6-dimensional structure of values, where the linear Cartesian coordinates are basic neurons encoding emotion vector excitation patterns and angular coordinates form a circular psychological dimensions of quality, and energy aspects of emotional content - the tone of emotion, intensity, strength. The circular ordering of names in tone (emotional semantic circle) shows two-dimensional subspace - the system block formed by the axes of joy/sorrow, fear/anger. The circular order of names on the energy performance of intensity is represented by 2-dimensional block with the axes of activation/neutrality. And finally, dial the energy component of the strength also provided a third system block of the semantic space of the axes surprise/fear, disgust/anger.
