Abstract:
The process of condensation of 85000 Cu atoms from gaseous medium is studied theoretically by the molecular dynamics method with the use of strong coupling potential. Different synthesis paths are considered. In order to study the influence of cooling rate and ultimate temperature on the structure of synthesized particles, the model of cooling was proposed with three different rates and two ultimate temperatures. The structure, shape, and size of the particles obtained is shown to depend equally on both the cooling rate and the ultimate temperature of the coolant. The optimum cooling rate and ultimate temperature for the formation of given structure modifications of Cu nano-particles are determined, opening the way to make up large conglomerates.
